Jeremy Doku has had a rather successful time at Manchester City so far.
After winning the Treble, City paid £55m to sign the winger during the 2023 summer transfer window.
In his debut season at the Etihad Stadium, the Belgian helped Pep Guardiola’s side become the first side to win four consecutive Premier League trophies.
Specifically, Doku bagged three goals and supplied 10 assists in 29 top-flight appearances.
Now in the midst of his second season with the Citizens, the 22-year-old has shed some light on what the overall feeling is in the squad.
- Who is Jeremy Doku? Keep up to speed with Man City’s rapid winger

Jeremy Doku names Man City duo who helped him settle at the club
Appearing in a recent video uploaded on the official Man City YouTube channel, Doku was asked by pundit and former Blues defender Nedum Onuoha who he is closest to in the City squad.
In response, the winger said this about what the overall vibe in the squad is and which two players, in particular, helped him the most in his early days at the Manchester club.
He said: “Honestly this is a squad where you love everybody. I’m next to Nathan [Ake].
“When I arrived Nathan and Kevin [De Bruyne] were really the ones because obviously my English wasn’t like now, I spoke English but obviously it’s not the same and they speak Dutch so was easier for me.
“But now I speak with everyone and I’m close with everyone I have love for everyone.”
De Bruyne said Doku improved a lot in his first City season
After helping the winger settle in at the club, De Bruyne hailed Doku for the improvement he showed throughout his debut campaign, saying this on the matter back in June.
He said: “Jeremy has gotten a lot better. It is hard to explain.
“Once such young players come to us, they get big eyes when they see our way of playing football. Or the way many opponents play against us. Constant double coverage, often with ten men behind the ball.
“Doku will not have experienced that often at Rennes. Jeremy handled it well. He started very strong with goals and assists.
“He then fell back a bit due to an injury, but in the end, he had good moments in a difficult match. Including against Chelsea, Man United, Real Madrid.”
So far this season, the attacker has found the back of the net twice and delivered two assists in 11 appearances.
However, Doku joined the long list of injured City players after picking up an issue in the club’s 2-1 win over Wolves.
Now that the winger has shared how positive the vibe is throughout the City ranks, this could potentially convince some players outside of the club to join the Blues if they pique their interest at some point in the future.
