Jeremy Doku has shared what Pep Guardiola told the Manchester City squad after the victory over Newcastle United.
Manchester City took one step closer to winning an unprecedented back-to-back treble as they advanced to the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola’s side booked their tickets to Wembley with a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United at the Etihad.
Bernardo Silva opened the scoring after 13 minutes when his deflected shot looped high over the goalkeeper and into the net.
The Portuguese playmaker doubled his tally shortly afterwards with another wicked deflection helping massively.
It was a comfortable evening for City and Jeremy Doku has revealed what Guardiola told the players afterwards.

What Pep Guardiola told his City players
Speaking to BBC Football Daily, Doku said: “He wanted to congratulate us.
“He wanted to thank us because it’s not easy to play every three days and still be there winning games and always to compete but we are doing it.
“We’re still in three competitions. Now it’s the international break and after we have some big games ahead.”
Man City continue to do incredible things
The fact City continue to play at such an incredibly high level after enjoying so much success over the years is remarkable.
Guardiola has ensured his side has kept their hunger and drive as well as their other-worldly quality and that’s reflected in Saturday’s history-making win.
City have now become the first team in English history to reach the FA Cup semi-finals in six successive years.
The Blues boss has only managed to win it twice but will no doubt be looking to make it three this year.
Guardiola’s expert man-management should be praised as highly as his tactical genius because there’s no chance his team would remain so good if he wasn’t able to keep everyone satisfied.
City continue to do sensational things and you can’t rule out another treble.
