Manchester City are through to the Champions League final after beating Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.
City were 2-1 up from the first leg having turned in a fine second-half display in the away leg, and finished off the job in style.
Riyad Mahrez fired home the opener after Kevin De Bruyne’s shot had been blocked, and he finished off a superb counter-attack to seal it.
PSG’s misery was compounded by an Angel Di Maria red card as Mauricio Pochettino’s men once again lost their heads.
Mahrez will grab the headlines with his brace, or even Phil Foden as he turned in another sensational performance, but City’s backline deserve praise too.
Ruben Dias was throwing himself in harm’s way again and again, whilst John Stones, Kyle Walker and Oleksandr Zinchenko were solid throughout.
Ex-City ace Joey Barton took to Twitter to react, branding the four of them ‘superb’ having celebrated good defending throughout.
Barton added that City were fully deserved finalists, heaping praise on their defenders despite the attackers grabbing headlines.
