John Obi Mikel has said that Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has the best right foot in world football.
The 32-year-old is currently in the midst of his ninth season at the Manchester club since arriving from Wolfsburg in 2015 for a fee of £55m.
Now though, the Belgian has found himself on the end of some significant recognition from one former top-flight midfielder.
Mikel says De Bruyne has the best right foot

After picking Lionel Messi for his ideal left foot in a recent video shared on Goal’s Tik Tok channel where he was asked to build his ultimate footballer, Mikel had this to say when asked to pick a player with the best right foot.
He said: “I know the [Cristiano] Ronaldo fans are going to kill me but I’m going to go [with] Kevin De Bruyne.”
During his time at City, De Bruyne has played in 361 games across all competitions, scoring 97 goals and providing 155 assists along the way.
Out of the 65 Premier League goals he’s scored throughout his career, 44 of them have been scored with his right foot and 21 with his left.
This shows while he may be more dominant with his right foot, his left is still very capable of delivering high quality goal contributions.
With all of that in mind, it’s undeniable that City have benefited greatly from De Bruyne’s right foot over a significant period of time.
In fact, it’s safe to say that the 32-year-old has been one of the best signings the club have made within the past decade.
Now that the midfielder is back from a long spell on the sidelines after undergoing hamstring surgery, we feel that he could play a big part in potentially seeing his side regain the titles he helped them win last season if he’s able to stay fit.
