John Terry played against some of the best attacking players in the world throughout his playing career.
Having appeared in 601 combined games in the Premier League and Champions League, 25 of which came against Manchester City, the 43-year-old certainly knows a high-level attacker when he sees one.
For instance, the former Chelsea captain came up against the likes of Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Samuel Eto’o, David Villa, Sergio Aguero, Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic among others.
Now though, the former defender has made an interesting claim about two of today’s top attacking talents which should please a lot of City supporters.

John Terry picks Erling Haaland over Kylian Mbappe
Appearing in a recent video shared on the FIFAe TikTok channel, Terry was involved in a this-or-that challenge where he had to pick between two players based on who he thinks is better.
When asked to choose between Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, Terry went for the City striker.

Terry isn’t the first person to make this same decision as Marc-Andre Ter Stegen picked Haaland over Mbappe when he was given the same question.
After scoring 283 goals and providing 124 assists in 368 combined appearances for Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain, Mbappe joined Real Madrid on a free transfer earlier this year.
Since then, the 25-year-old has bagged three goals across his first five games for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
In comparison, Haaland has scored 232 goals in 283 senior club appearances throughout his career.
With Mbappe scoring three goals in his first five games for Real this season, the Norwegian has scored seven goals in his first three Premier League games so far this term.
Looking back over the previous Ballon d’Or rankings, the City striker finished in second place, whereas the France international came third.
While both players are undoubtedly two of the best attacking players in Europe right now, it’s safe to say that most City fans would do as Terry has and pick Haaland over Mbappe.
