Manchester City beat Wolves 2-1 in the Premier League on Sunday, and there was another goal for Josko Gvardiol.
Manchester City were not at their best, and won courtesy of a very late goal by John Stones in controversial fashion.
Stones headed in, but it was initially ruled out for offside against Bernardo Silva, who had been in front of Jose Sa.
But after checking the goal on the pitchside monitor, Bernardo was deemed not to be interfering and the goal stood.
Wolves were aggrieved after a very solid defensive effort. But City did dominate in terms of possession and chances and will feel worthy of the three points.
After the game, Gvardiol took to social media to send a message to fans.
Josko Gvardiol sends seven-word message of defiance after scoring against Wolves

Gvardiol came in clutch again for City, equalising after Jorgen Strand Larsen had given the hosts the lead.
It was the Croatian’s sixth goal for the club following his 2023 summer move from RB Leipzig.
Wolves had defended well so it was going to take something special to beat Jose Sa – and Gvardiol certainly came up with a moment of magic.
He cut inside and fired into the top corner from 20 yards on his weak foot. Sa got fingertips to it, but arguably it was an unstoppable strike.
It was a great performance overall from Gvardiol, who reflected the nature of Sunday’s comeback win over Wolves in his message to fans on Instagram.
He said: “We will always fight till the end!”
Several of his teammates responded, including:
Jack Grealish: ‘Naaaaaaa brateeeeeee watttta goal’.
Nathan Ake: ‘Brate🔥’
Ruben Dias: ‘Joskooo🔥’
After Gvardiol drew criticism from Croatian media for his display against Scotland during the international break, this really was the perfect response.
Gvardiol thriving for Man City
Eyebrows were raised when City shelled out £77 million for Gvardiol but that fee is now starting to look relatively cheap.
Because Gvardiol is getting better and better for City, and it’s rare to see him have a poor game these days. The injury to Nathan Ake has allowed him to really nail down that position on the left, and his trajectory is very exciting.
Gvardiol is still only 22, and it’s amazing to think of where he could be in only a few more years.
He is already looking so complete. Defensively he is solid and with the ball, and just so clean and tidy. Against Wolves, he completed and incredible 109/117 (93%) passes according to Sofascore.
And then, of course, he has an eye for a spectacular goal. He is building quite the goal catalogue at the Etihad Stadium, and fans are absolutely loving it.
