Manchester City have a track record when it comes to selling players to clubs in Saudi Arabia.
Specifically, the previous summer transfer window saw the Citizens sell Riyad Mahrez to Al Ahli and Aymeric Laporte to Al Nassr.
Despite that, Pep Guardiola’s side still managed to regain the Premier League title last season and become the first side to win four league trophies in a row.
Now that another summer transfer window is open for business, a Middle Eastern club have once again set their sights on signing one of City’s key players.

Saudi Pro League club send contract offer for Ederson
In a recent post on his X account, journalist Cesar Luis Merlo claimed that Saudi Pro League side, Al Nassr, have offered Ederson a two-year contract worth €60m (£50).
The journalist then added that if the Brazilian were to give the green light to the move, the Saudi club would then approach City to negotiate a deal.
Ederson is vital for City
City paid £35m to sign the shot-stopper from Benfica back in the 2017 summer transfer window.
During his time at the Etihad Stadium, the Brazilian has made 332 appearances across all competitions, keeping 155 clean sheets and winning many trophies along the way.
The 30-year-old, whose performance in the 1-1 draw against Real Madrid in City’s Treble-winning campaign was described by Guardiola as “exceptional” (via Manchester Evening News), featured in 43 games last season, which highlights how important he is for the team as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Having also been described by Danny Murphy back in May as one of the best footballing goalkeepers in Premier League history, we feel that if Ederson were to leave the club this summer, it would be a big blow for the Blues.
Moving forward, we feel that City should be doing all they can to convince their goalkeeper to stay and not get his head turned by a potential move to Saudi.
