Jurgen Klopp has now predicted whether Manchester City or Aston Villa will come out on top during Wednesday night’s clash.

Considering Unai Emery’s side dominated City in their 1-0 win the last time these two sides met, it would be surprising to hear the visitors’ chances of getting a result be discounted at the Etihad Stadium.

Villa have also beaten other teams in the ‘Big Six’ like Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Chelsea this season.

Jurgen Klopp predicts who will win: Manchester City or Aston Villa

The same cannot be said about Manchester City this campaign, however, who have struggled the most in the big games out of Liverpool and Arsenal.

Furthermore, while City’s performance against the Gunners on Sunday was far from dismal, it was also slightly uninspiring.

In addition, Villa would be determined to get a result to strengthen their chances of qualifying for the Champions League this season.

However, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp did admit that he expects Manchester City to get over the line against Aston Villa.

“I expect them to win, we just need to win our games”, the German said in his latest press conference [via Liverpool’s official website].

Manchester City should approach the contest with a sense of fearlessness

If Manchester City play with a sense of fearlessness against Aston Villa, in our view, Jurgen Klopp will be proven right and they will win.

With so much being on the line in all of their remaining fixtures, one can understand why there might be a feeling of not gifting the opposition, especially of Villa’s calibre the chances to score by being too expansive.

But at the same time, Manchester City must also be confident in the attacking quality they have and put in a statement performance against the Villains.

Especially considering their goal difference (+35) is still way behind the likes of Liverpool (+46) and Arsenal (+40), which could play a crucial role in which team wins the title.

By showing an attacking intent, City will get a blueprint of how to approach their remaining league outings.
