Kalvin Phillips has named who he thinks is the best young player at Manchester City.
The Englishman completed his debut season at the Manchester club last month where he ended up lifting the Premier League trophy, the FA Cup and the Champions League.
Having had a full year worth of experience under his belt as a City player, the 27-year-old has come out and shared his thoughts on one particular figure at the club.
Phillips names City’s best young player

In a recent quickfire Q&A with Mail Sport, the midfielder named Cole Palmer as his choice for being the best young player currently in Pep Guardiola’s squad.
Having scored 42 goals and provided 19 assists in 64 appearances for City’s youth sides, the 20-year-old now has 38 senior games under his belt for the club, across which he has found the net four times and made two assists.
Even though the winger only scored one goal in 25 appearances for Guardiola’s side last season, the fact that Phillips still considers Palmer to be the best young player at the club, which also contains Phil Foden as someone who made his way through the youth ranks to get into the first team, shows how highly the midfielder rates the young attacker.

Phillips isn’t the only person at the Manchester club that has shared praise for the 20-year-old, who recently won the U21 2023 European Championship with England, as Guardiola said after seeing Palmer score his first senior Champions League goal back in 2021 that the winger is a player that has “special quality.”
Moving forward, if the youngster can get some more minutes under his belt next season and start delivering goal contributions on a regular basis, he’ll surely have many other praising him and his ability.
