Kevin De Bruyne will reportedly not require surgery for his hamstring injury in what is a boost for Manchester City.
The playmaker is currently holidaying in Cote d’Azur and relaxing after a gruelling season.
De Bruyne played 46 games for City across all competitions for a total of 3684 minutes.
It was another fantastic campaign from him, contributing 10 goals and 31 assists.
He played a huge part in the club winning the Treble, but for him personally, it ended on a bit of a frustrating note.
In the Champions League final against Inter he was forced off midway through the first-half.
De Bruyne said after the game that he ‘snapped’ his hamstring.
Some have been wondering about the Belgian’s condition, and there has now been an update.
Kevin De Bruyne won’t need surgery for hamstring injury, and he could be back for Super Cup vs Sevilla
According to the Daily Star, De Bruyne will thankfully not be needing any kind of surgery for his hamstring injury.
That said, it is a fairly serious injury for the maestro.

Apparently, after he had scans, the prognosis is that De Bruyne has suffered a Grade Three hamstring tear.
He’ll be on the sidelines for a couple of months.
The £55 million star will not feature in the Community Shield against Arsenal on August 6.
And it’s highly likely that he will miss City’s first Premier League game of 2023/24 against Vincent Kompany’s Burnley.
The Daily Star do say though that City medical staff are hopeful he will return against Sevilla in the Super Cup in Athens on August 16.
Other Man City stars must step up from the start as De Bruyne will have no pre-season
So De Bruyne will not go under the knife which is positive.
But his injury will rob him of a pre-season, which is not ideal.
This means that other City players will need to step up right from the off. Normally, Ilkay Gundogan is the man to shine bright when De Bruyne doesn’t play.

But the German is joining Barcelona, so it will be up to someone else to rise to the challenge.
Phil Foden could be the man to come through for City. We know that Pep Guardiola was playing him centrally towards the end of 2022/23.
Or perhaps new signing Mateo Kovacic will get an early chance to impress.
