Manchester City’s attention has now turned to the Champions League final, after they lifted the FA Cup yesterday – and Kylian Mbappe has made his prediction for the game.

Pep Guardiola’s side beat Manchester United 2-1 at Wembley to pick up their second trophy of the season.

It is the seventh time the club has won the FA Cup, and it’s only the second time Pep has lifted the trophy with City.

Ilkay Gundogan was the hero again, scoring two goals.

His first was the fastest in FA Cup final history, coming inside 12 seconds.

After Bruno Fernandes equalised from the penalty spot, Gundogan then scored his second volley of the game.

While the end scoreline suggested a close game, City were comfortable for the most-part. There were only one of two moments where United looked threatening.

They were very disappointing, and in the end City’s hard work alone was probably what won it. United had very little intensity about them.

It was the perfect outcome, and City can now look towards the Champions League final and an amazing Treble.

The eyes of the footballing world will be watching, to see if City can land the trophy for the first time or Inter can upset the odds.

Fans will be watching in their millions, and there will be thousands of former and current players watching too.

Perhaps the biggest name footballer who’ll be watching is Paris Saint-Germain striker Mbappe.

The French superstar has been at the Spanish Grand Prix today, and a reporter actually asked him about next weekend’s final and who he thought would win.

He replied: “Ah Champions League final, great game, I’m going to watch it. I think Manchester City are going to win it.”

Manchester City are well placed to make Kylian Mbappe prediction come true and win first Champions League title

So Mbappe believes City will get the job done in Istanbul.

The Premier League and FA Cup winners are undoubtedly the hot favourites. But it is just one game and obviously anything could happen.

City just have to make sure they approach the game with full focus. take nothing for granted.

Inter are in the final for a reason and they would love to embarrass City.

It’s been an amazing season so far, and there’s just one final game now. It’s perhaps the biggest in the club’s history, so hopefully everyone is able to handle the pressure.
