Barcelona are reportedly plotting a fresh transfer move for Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva.
The La Liga champions were linked with a move for the 28-year-old last summer but ended up seeing the player stay at the Etihad Stadium and ultimately become a treble winner.
Now, the Spanish side have reignited their interest in the midfielder.
Barcelona want Silva transfer

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo Barcelona will try and land a deal for the City star this summer as Xavi is a big fan of Silva.
The report also adds that Silva is very keen on becoming a Barcelona player and has a commitment from Pep Guardiola that if the Spanish club make a suitable offer, they will be open to making it happen.
Since joining the Manchester club back in 2017, the midfielder has made 306 appearances for the European champions, scoring 55 goals, delivering 59 assists and winning numerous trophies.
Last season saw him feature very heavily in Guardiola’s side, appearing in all but six of their matches in all competitions.

He also chipped in with some important goals, most notably in the 3-0 win over Bayern Munich in the quarter final of the Champions League, as well as scoring a brace in the 4-0 win over Real Madrid in the next round of the competition.
With the City manager describing Silva as one of the best players he has ever coached, it’s safe to say that he would ideally like to see the midfielder stay at the Etihad.
In fact, it was reported last month that the Citizens have offered the Portuguese international an improved contract to try and keep hold of him.
Moving forward, despite what this recent report is claiming, we feel that City should not sanction any sort of move for Silva this summer.
