Leeds United winger Jaidon Anthony has named Manchester City full-back, Kyle Walker, as his toughest opponent.

The 23-year-old, who is currently on loan at Leeds from Premier League side Bournemouth, who City will be coming up against this weekend at the Etihad Stadium, has made over 100 combined senior appearances for the two clubs across all competitions prior to tonight’s Championship match against Leicester City.

Having played against numerous opponents for both sides, the winger has now shared who he feels has been the toughest player he has faced off against.

Speaking in a recent video from JD Football, Anthony named Walker when asked who the toughest opponent he has ever played against is.

With the 23-year-old only featuring against the City star on one occasion for 10 minutes during Bournemouth’s 4-1 defeat against the Manchester club in the Premier League last season, the right-back must have made a big impact in how Anthony found playing against him to be.

The 33-year-old, who Txiki Begiristain described as an “outstanding” player after seeing him sign a new contract at the Etihad Stadium back in September, also showed how much of a formidable opponent he can be for opposition wingers last season in one of City’s biggest matches.

After helping his side beat Real Madrid 4-0 in the second-leg match of the Champions League semi-finals, Walker found himself on the end of some hefty praise from Thierry Henry for the way he handled Vinicius Junior throughout the game.

More recently, Pep Guardiola noted that the genetic qualities that the Englishman has are “incomparable” and “unique,” further highlighting how difficult it can be for opposition attackers like Anthony to get the better of the City star.

With all of that in mind, it’s easy to see why Anthony thinks Walker is the toughest opponent he has come across, even though he’s only played against him for a short amount of time.
