Erling Haaland has shared how much he enjoys playing alongside fellow Manchester City attacker Julian Alvarez.
The duo are in the middle of their second season together at the Manchester club after they both arrived in the summer of 2022.
Now though, with the pair and the rest of the City players on the hunt to regain the three trophies they won last season, Haaland has shared some details on his relationship with the Argentine.
Haaland says he loves ‘fantastic’ Alvarez

Speaking in a recent interview with ESPN Brazil, Haaland had this to say about what it has been like to work with Alvarez.
He said: “First of all, he is fantastic as a person. He is shy, but very positive and cool, I like to play with him. He’s positive, he always brings positivity and that’s a good thing. As a player, see what he has been doing. It’s fantastic to see that. I like to play with him mainly because he is a good person.”
With 174 combined appearances for City between them, the pair have scored 114 goals and delivered 33 assists.
During their time together at City, the duo have played in 57 games together across all competitions and have racked up eight joint goal participations.
Out of those eight goals, six were scored by Haaland assisted by Alvarez, with two scored by the Argentine assisted by the Norwegian.
Now that the former Borussia Dortmund striker has shared how much he admires Alvarez’s personality and says that’s why he enjoys playing with him more than his clear footballing ability, this should be music to Pep Guardiola’s ears.
From a supporter’s point of view, if the duo can keep working well together and delivering goal contributions on a regular basis, they’ll give the Citizens a great chance of winning more silverware.
