Despite Liverpool trying their best in recent years, Manchester City have become the Premier League’s dominant force.

Of course, Liverpool and now Arsenal are giving Manchester City a hard time in the Premier League title race, but Pep Guardiola’s side always win the championship.

After all, City have won the Premier League title for the past three years and five times in the last six seasons.

And, the Citizens could make it four in a row this time around.

Liverpool linked with former Manchester City winger Leroy Sane

Liverpool, though, remain a force to be reckoned with, and it seems that the Reds are looking at a former City winger to continue to challenge City.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool have made former Manchester City winger Leroy Sane their number one target to replace Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to bring Sane to Anfield if Salah leaves for Saudi Arabia.

The Merseyside club are reportedly willing to make the Bayern Munich winger their record signing.

Leroy Sane was a Manchester City success story

Sane was on the books of City from 2016 until 2020.

City sold the 27-year-old Germany international winger to Bayern in 2020 for an initial €49 million (£42.50 million) (talkSPORT).

While at the Etihad Stadium, Sane made 90 appearances in the Premier League.

The winger scored 25 goals and gave 28 assists in those games.

The German star won the Premier League title twice, the FA Cup once, and the EFL Cup on three occasions.

City manager Pep Guardiola said that the club wanted to keep Sane, but the winger turned down the chance to sign a new deal.

So, the Citizens sold him.

Sane has won the Bundesliga three times with Bayern so far.

I do not think that City should be too concerned about Sane coming back to the Premier League.

True, Sane is 27 now and is at the top of his game, but City have moved on after his exit and have not missed him at all.
