Jack Grealish has said that Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson is the craziest person he’s ever met in football.
The Englishman is in the middle of his third season at the Manchester club after joining from Aston Villa in a deal worth £100m back in 2021.
Having been around many players during his time at the Etihad Stadium, Grealish has now shared some behind-the-scenes insight into one teammate in particular.
Grealish says Ederson is crazy behind the scenes

Speaking in a recent video from the Amazon Prime Video Sport YouTube channel Grealish had this to say about Ederson.
He said: “He’s mad, you know. He’s a crazy geezer, but I think that helps him, the way he is. He’s so calm but then off the pitch, he’s just mad, honestly.
“We’ll be walking through a door, I saw him do this the other week, obviously, the door is this high and we’re walking through the hotel to go to a meeting, bearing in mind I’ve got the stiffest hamstrings ever, and he’s just walking and he’s kicked the top of the door.
“And then in training, he’ll be walking around blasting balls, he’s just crazy, he’s the craziest guy I’ve ever met, honestly, he’s just mad.”
City signed the Brazilian back in the 2017 summer transfer window from Benfica in a deal worth £35m.
Since then, the 30-year-old has gone on to make 311 appearances for the Citizens across all competitions, prior to tonight’s FIFA Club World Cup final against Fluminense.
Across those appearances, Ederson has kept 145 clean sheets and won numerous trophies along the way.
This isn’t the first time a City player has highlighted how eccentric the Brazil international is, as Ruben Dias said back in June that Ederson has a crazy aspect of his personality that makes him the goalkeeper he is.
With that in mind and what Grealish has now said, it’s clear that while Ederson may come across as a cool and calm character on the pitch, he can be very unpredictable and crazy behind the scenes.
