Manchester City have tonight beaten Red Star Belgrade in their final Champions League group stage match – and Robbie Savage had praise for Rico Lewis during the game.
City have completed a perfect qualifying campaign, with the club’s academy doing some real damage tonight.
Micah Hamilton and Oscar Bobb both scored their first senior goals for the club, with Hamilton making his debut in Belgrade. It was also Bobb’s first start in the Champions League.
Kalvin Phillips scored his first goal for the club from the penalty spot.

Hamilton and Bobb will grab all the headlines this evening, but there was yet another great performance in midfield from Rico Lewis.
£25,000-a-week star Lewis has been a staple of City’s Champions League campaign this season, starting for the fifth time in the competition so far.
It is difficult to comprehend that Lewis has only just turned 19.
He plays the game with such maturity, and he stands to become a top-class player in a few years’ time.
During the second-half as Lewis won the ball back for his side, Savage, on commentary for TNT Sports, said: “What a season he is having. He’s been magnificent, wherever he’s played, he’s done exceptionally well.
“The reason why Rico Lewis can play anywhere in this Man City side is because he can go past a player. I think he’s got that little burst of pace and awareness.”
Lewis continues to amaze
This was another fantastic night for Lewis, who continues to prove himself as a top young player at the best club in the world.
It is always just so impressive to see how much he trusts himself on the ball.
His technical ability for one still so young is just phenomenal and he is clearly extremely intelligent with how comfortable he’s able to look in so many different positions.
Bobb and Hamilton will get the headlines tonight, but Lewis was outstanding once again.
