Kevin De Bruyne was sidelined with injury in Manchester City’s latest 2-2 draw against Arsenal after picking up a knock against Inter Milan in the Champions League.
De Bruyne would have been frustrated as he could not play a part in City’s latest clash against the Gunners.
The Belgian could have been the difference-maker for the hosts at the Etihad Stadium as they struggled to carve chances out.
Furthermore, the midfield maestro would have been hoping to remain consistently fit for Manchester City this season after his previous campaign was deterred by a major injury and subsequent knocks.
However, the £400,000-a-week man suffered yet another setback as his injury woes have remained a recurring theme during his career.
The 33-year-old will be hoping that he returns to the pitch sooner rather than later for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Guardiola reveals the extent of Man City star injury after Arsenal draw
Manchester City return to action on Tuesday in the Third Round of the Carabao Cup.
The Sky Blues will face Newcastle United on Saturday as well in what will be a taxing week of football for their players.
Ideally, City would have liked to give their players a few days of rest after how physically and mentally draining their game was against Arsenal.
However, the fixture schedule continues to be grueling for the players, with Rodri also picking up an injury against the Gunners.
Ahead of Manchester City’s upcoming contest against Watford, Pep Guardiola was quizzed about De Bruyne’s injury.
The Catalan revealed that he does not expect the six-time Premier League winner to be sidelined for too long.
Guardiola said via HaytersTV: “I don’t think it will be long.”
“But I would not say Watford, I don’t know [about] Newcastle but I think, it will not be long.”
Pep Guardiola will be delighted Kevin De Bruyne will be fit soon
Manchester City supporters would have feared the worst once De Bruyne was taken off against Inter Milan.
But Pep Guardiola would have been over the moon to discover that the former VFL Wolfsburg technician will return to full fitness soon.
De Bruyne has been ruled out by Guardiola to play any part against Watford and he remains unsure if the decorated attacker will be fit to face Newcastle.
It seems like Manchester City’s game against Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League could be one where the Drongen-born superstar could get minutes.
As the games will come thick and fast for City, De Bruyne’s injury not being considered serious must be a huge relief for Pep Guardiola.
