Manchester City have the chance to wrap up an impressive summer transfer window by landing a deal for Matheus Nunes.
In terms of incoming transfers this summer, the Citizens have brought in Mateo Kovacic, Josko Gvardiol and Jeremy Doku, all of whom seem to be like-for-like replacements for Ilkay Gundogan, Aymeric Laporte and Riyad Mahrez.
Even though there are only three days left until the window closes, one player that the treble winners have their eyes on, who we feel would be the icing on the cake, is Nunes.
Nunes could wrap up a top summer transfer window for City

After seeing an initial bid of £47m rejected by the Midlands club, City are reportedly still looking to land a deal for the player, who has made it clear by refusing to train with Wolves, that he wants to make a move to the Etihad Stadium this week.
Having lost Kevin De Bruyne to a long-term injury earlier this month, adding a new midfielder like Nunes, who has a full season of top-flight experience under his belt, could be a smart move for City.

Even though the 25-year-old only scored one goal and delivered one assist for his current club last season, he showed in other areas what he’d be able to offer Pep Guardiola’s side.

For example, the fact that featured in five different midfield positions shows the sort of versatility he has and how it would make him a useful option for City anywhere in the middle of the field.
Described as a “superb” player by talent scout Jacek Kulig on Twitter, Nunes also racked up the third-highest combined total of tackles and interceptions (83) at Wolves in the Premier League for their previous campaign, showing how effective he can be out of possession and snuffing out danger from the opposition.
With all of that in mind, we feel that if the champions were able to secure a deal for the Portuguese international, this would surely nicely wrap up what could be seen as a very important transfer window for the club.
