Manchester City could reportedly strike a swap deal with Barcelona during the current summer transfer window involving Bernardo Silva and Frenkie de Jong.
The La Liga champions have been linked with a move for the City midfielder previously and reportedly still have an interest in the Portuguese international.
This has since led to the Citizens apparently using this interest as a way of taking one of Barcelona’s current players away from them.
City eye De Jong swap deal

According to a recent report from Football Transfers, City have set their sights on securing a move for De Jong, who the Spanish club value at £70m, and could use Silva in a potential swap deal.
Back in the 2019 January transfer window, Barcelona struck a £65m deal with Ajax to sign the midfielder in the following summer transfer period.
Since arriving at the Camp Nou, the Dutchman has made 183 appearances for Xavi’s side across all competitions, scoring 15 goals and delivering 21 assists along the way.
The previous summer transfer window almost saw the 26-year-old join Manchester United, after the Red Devils reportedly agreed a deal with Barcelona for him worth €85m (£72m).

Now with City in the frame to potentially land a deal for the Netherlands international, it’d be interesting to see if Barcelona’s eagerness to sign Silva eclipses how much they want to keep hold of De Jong.
Moving forward, if the Portuguese international is keen on joining the Spanish club this summer, bringing up the possibility of a swap deal involving De Jong is definitely something City should look to do.
