Manchester City have been linked with a move for German sensation Jamal Musiala, a player Owen Hargreaves is a huge fan of.
It was reported yesterday that City were considering a future move for Musiala, 20, as a long-term replacement for Kevin De Bruyne.
De Bruyne is 32 now, and the Belgian has struggled with injuries recently.
After picking up a hamstring injury in the Champions League final, De Bruyne was then forced off in City’s Premier League opener this season, against Burnley in August.
De Bruyne’s injury record in the last few years has not exactly been stellar.
There are fears he may not have too much longer left at the very top of his game.
So Musiala is seemingly on City’s radar – and he’s a player former City midfielder Hargreaves just adores…
Owen Hargreaves believes Manchester City target Jamala Musiala is like Kaka
Yesterday, journalist Fabrizio Romano reported some quotes from Musiala about the prospect of winning the Ballon d’Or one day.

Then, The Secret Scout replied, claiming that City are going to target Musiala as a long-term replacement for De Bruyne.
Musiala is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most exciting young players in the world.
He provided a reminder of that with his dazzling display against Manchester United last week in the Champions League.
Musiala is a player Hargreaves really adores. And previously, the former City man likened Musiala to a legend of the game.
He said (Daily Mail): “I like everything [about him]. He reminds me of Kaka. Kaka in our time was the greatest number 10 in the game. You shouldn’t get out of the areas he does, he’s got speed, size and is a good finisher.”
What a signing Musiala would be
Who knows how much truth there is in this, but Musiala would be such an exciting signing for City.
He really is around a similar level to Jude Bellingham in terms of current talent and potential.
City fans don’t really want to think about life after Kevin De Bruyne. But it might be something that is going to need addressing soon.

The Kaka comparison is quite exciting from Hargreaves, who has watched Musiala plenty at his former club.
Kaka was famously targeted by City after the takeover by ADUG. The club never got the Brazilian, so hopefully this is a move that will actually come to fruition.
