Manchester City are delighted with Micah Hamilton and now plan to reward him with a new contract.
That is according to TEAMtalk.
So, what is the latest on Manchester City and Micah Hamilton? Let’s take a look…
Manchester City want to reward Micah Hamilton
Well, the 20-year-old has made tremendous progress in recent weeks.
Hamilton was handed his Manchester City debut by Pep Guardiola in the 3-2 UEFA Champions League win over Red Star Belgrade in the second week of December, where he scored a fantastic goal and also won the penalty for Kalvin Phillips to dispatch.
It was an outstanding debut from the Manchester City No.92 – who admitted he had jelly legs at seeing his name in the starting XI – and the treble winners now want to reward him with a new deal, according to TEAMtalk.

It is said that Manchester City believe Hamilton can follow in the footsteps of Phil Foden, and with his current terms expiring at the end of the season, there is urgency to hand him a fresh deal.
The Manchester-born winger has impressively provided five assists in nine Premier League 2 appearances this season, and is likely to be handed another senior start by Guardiola in the upcoming FA Cup clash against Huddersfield.
Micah Hamilton must focus on playing off the right flank
In our view, Hamilton should be developing his ability to make an impact down the right wing, as chances would appear to come at a premium for him on the left.
Guardiola already has Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku fighting for a spot on the left wing, a battle which received huge media coverage earlier this season – Chris Sutton even felt the £100m man was in a bit of bother because of the Belgian.

Therefore, Hamilton would be wise to focus on making the right flank his strongest position, with less competition in that area following the sales of Riyad Mahrez and Cole Palmer.
The City Football Academy graduate – of course – got his goal against Red Star Belgrade from the right wing, before winning the penalty while playing on the left, so he is clearly a versatile figure.
Hopefully, Hamilton can play much more first team football before the 2023/24 campaign is over.
