Manchester City have discovered how much money they would need to pay to sign reported transfer target Florian Wirtz.
The Citizens were linked with a move for the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder during the previous summer transfer window but didn’t end up signing him.
Now though, some behind-the-scenes details have emerged regarding what the Manchester club may need to do in order to land his signature in the next summer window.
Leverkusen set price tag for Wirtz

According to a recent report from Sport Bild, Leverkusen will ask for at least €130m (£111m) to sell Wirtz in the summer.
The report also adds that City, as well as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, are keeping a very close eye on the player ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
Since making his senior debut for Leverkusen back in May 2020, the 20-year-old has scored 31 goals and supplied 42 assists in 127 appearances across all competitions.
This season has seen the German, who has been described as a “special talent” by Victor Boniface, feature in all but two of Leverkusen’s matches across all competitions, racking up eight goals and 12 assists.
In addition to that, the midfielder has made more passes into the penalty area (46) and more goal-scoring actions (14) than any other Leverkusen player in the Bundesliga this season.
His performances in the league have earned Wirtz an overall season rating of 7.54/10 from WhoScored, making him the seventh-highest-rated player in the Bundesliga.
Taking that into account, as well as his young age and the fact that his contract at the German club isn’t set to expire until 2027 makes it understandable why Leverkusen would want a substantial transfer fee to sell him in the summer.
Moving forward, if Wirtz continues to impress throughout the season and City feel that this would be an investment worth making, we feel that landing the midfielder’s signature in the summer could be a very exciting move for them to make.
