Manchester City are reportedly eyeing a transfer move for Corinthians defender Murillo, but face competition from two European clubs.
The Citizens have already brought in a young centre-back this summer in the shape of Josko Gvardiol.
Now though, the Manchester club have their eyes on potentially signing another young defender.
City eyeing Murillo transfer

According to a recent report from Tuttomercatoweb, City have their eyes on Murillo and could make a move for the defender next summer.
The report also adds that Fiorentina and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in the player and have both had bids for him rejected, with Corinthians looking to pick up €20m (£17m) for him.
After making 19 appearances for Corinthians’ U20 side, the 21-year-old has now made 27 senior appearances for the Brazilian club.
With 13 appearances under his belt across the latest Serie A league in Brazil, the centre-back has racked up the second-highest number of blocks (31), clearances (65) and joint-second-highest total of interceptions (16) at the club.

In addition to that, Murillo also has the third-highest number of passes into the final third of the pitch (49), showing how much of a forward-thinking player he is as well as being a very capable defender.
This makes it easy to see why the Brazilian, who has been described as a “fantastic” player by talent scout Jacek Kulig on Twitter, has numerous European clubs, including City, looking at him.
Moving forward, if no other interested club ends up sealing a deal for him before the current transfer window closes, we feel that this is definitely something that the Citizens should have on their agenda for next summer.
