After weeks of speculation around his future at Manchester City, Jack Grealish has joined Everton on a season-long loan.
Everton could sign Grealish for £50 million on a permanent basis if they exercise the option-to-buy clause in his contract but it is believed that they would have the liberty to negotiate a lower fee with City.
The 29-year-old will be hoping to become a hero in Merseyside, considering he will don the famous number 18 that was worn by Toffees icons such as Wayne Rooney and Paul Gascoigne.
Upon Grealish’s departure, his shirt number 10 has been handed to Rayan Cherki, which has led Manchester City fans to express their delight upon seeing the confirmation.

One Manchester City fan reacted to Cherki donning the number 10 shirt by happily writing: “Can’t believe this is my life.”
Another City supporter was similarly over the moon, claiming: “I just stood up and applauded.”
A third Manchester City fan believes Cherki will be able to handle the pressure that comes with sporting such an iconic number — considering Sky Blues heroes such as Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko previously wore the number, writing: “He looks like he can handle the weight.”
A fourth City fan feels the number suits the Frenchman, as he stated: “That looks absolutely class.”
Another supporter predicted the 21-year-old to take the Premier League by storm, predicting: “Movies will be made. He is going to tear this league apart.”
Finally, a sixth Manchester City fan made a similar prediction about Cherki, who Pep Guardiola praised after witnessing him donning the number 10 shirt: “Love it. Cherki is going to rip it up this season.”

Mahrez visited the City Football Academy recently and after the Spaniard was standing next to him and the former Lyon midfielder, he said: “He’s [Cherki] like you [Mahrez].”
If the youngster morphs into even half the player the former Leicester City winger was, City could have a special attacker on their hands.
