Manchester City miss Rodri massively, and clearly the team does too.
Pep Guardiola has been without his midfield general for just over two months now, and his absence has been predictably huge.
We saw last season how poorly City played when Rodri missed a handful of games through suspension.
And it’s been the same story this term, but City now have to try and navigate a full season without their Ballon d’Or winner.
There’s been talk about the club signing a replacement in January, with Martin Zubimendi a player Rodri has advised City to sign.
But realistically, whoever comes in will not be on the same level as Rodri.
Shortly after the player suffered his knee injury against Arsenal, it was suggested that Rodri would be out for the whole season.
But recently, Rodri suggested he’s aiming to return for City before the end of the season – and one new video clip perfectly shows just how determined he is to make that happen.
Rodri shows determination in new recovery from injury clip

Today the official X account of the Spanish national team posted a video clip of Rodri going through some early rehab.
The midfielder can be seen using a treadmill and also doing some dynamic stretching, and really putting himself through some pain.
The Spain account also shared an interview Rodri has done with RFEF about his recovery so far. He said: “It’s a hard process, it’s a long and boring process. Above all, the first months in which I have not been able to support and the exercises are more boring, you can’t do so many, you can’t put weight on your leg.
“Once you start walking it is more enjoyable, more fun, you introduce activities such as cycling, walking, swimming… It becomes more enjoyable, but, yes, at the beginning it is a little more vibe…”
Man City fans impressed by Rodri’s determination
On social media, fans were left extremely impressed by the clip of Rodri.
For many, you can clearly see the determination on show, and some reckon Rodri will indeed make a return before the end of the season.

Rodri will play again this season for Man City
It was devastating for City to lose Rodri to an ACL injury, but it’s already starting to feel as though we’ll be seeing the star take to the field again this season.
By several accounts his recovery has been going very well so far, and City fans just know what kind of individual Rodri is.
As good a player as he is, Rodri has an incredible mentality, and is a top professional. He is dedicated to his craft, and will be working as hard as possible to return as early as possible.

Goals – 26
Assists – 30
Trophies won – 11
It will pain him to see the team struggling without him, and he’ll be doing everything he can to return a bit earlier than anticipated.
Of course, City won’t let him come back early than is necessary. But it’s hard to imagine, just looking at this clip, that Rodri won’t feature again for City this season.
