Manchester City found out who their opponents will be for the group stage of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.
Having won the Champions League for the first time ever in 2023, City secured their spot in the new-look version of the Club World Cup, which is set to take place in the summer.
The draw for the tournament took place in Miami, where all 32 clubs involved in the competition were allocated into eight different groups from four pots.
Pep Guardiola’s side were drawn into Group G and ended up being placed alongside fellow European club Juventus as well as Moroccan club Wydad AC and Abu Dhabi side Al Ain FC.
Once the news of this group draw broke on social media, it quickly garnered a wide range of reactions.

Man City fans react to Club World Cup draw
Some supporters reacted fairly positively to the draw and City’s chances of making it through to the next stage of the tournament, with one X user saying: “Easy group.”
Another wrote: “They’re not ready” in regards to the opposition clubs City will be facing over the summer.
This user even shared their prediction for where the Blues will finish in the group, saying: “Top of the group finish.”
However, other sections of the fan base had different views on the difficulty of City’s group.
Specifically, one fan shared: “This is the toughest group but we will definitely go hard on them all.”
City have other pressing matters to focus on before the Club World Cup
Even though the group stage draw will now give the Manchester club, including Guardiola, his coaching staff and all the players in his squad the chance to prepare themselves in terms of knowing who they’ll face in the group stage, they have other matters to attend to before the summer tournament begins.
Specifically, the Blues are currently on the hunt to win what would be a fifth consecutive Premier League trophy.

As well as that, the Citizens also have three matches left to play in the group phase of the Champions League, the first of which is against their Club World Cup group opponents Juventus in Turin.
