Despite signing a whole host of players this summer, Manchester City’s start to the season has been concerning — as they have lost two out of their first three games.
Pep Guardiola will be frustrated seeing his City side failing to bounce back after their 2-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur as they were trounced 2-1 by Brighton & Hove Albion in the following week.
Jeremy Doku revealed Guardiola is hard at work behind the scenes to mastermind the Sky Blues’ return to form.
Meanwhile, the fans are still on the lookout for new signings who could come into the side in the future and further bolster this Manchester City side — and Elliot Anderson, who sang Kevin De Bruyne’s praises has caught their eye.

Elliot Anderson is Man City fans’ new dream signing
One Manchester City fan claimed Anderson’s style of play is reminiscent to that of Toni Kroos and his line-breaking passing would improve Pep Guardiola’s midfield: “I scouted him a year ago, he can fill the void of line-breaking passes. His style seems to be close to Toni Kroos in my opinion.”
Another City supporter added by writing: “Yeah, very clean and smooth player, can’t lie.”
A third fan simply tagged Manchester City in his post while naming Anderson, suggesting them to sign him: “Elliot Anderson @ManCity.”
When one supporter suggested the signing of the Nottingham Forest midfielder, another fan agreed with him as he replied: “We think alike these days. [Carlos] Baleba and Elliot are my picks. We need players with raw that can drive the ball and be creative.”
Considering Manchester City have scouted Adam Wharton, another supporter claimed that his fellow countryman is more of a powerhouse than the Crystal Palace gem: “More physical than Wharton too.”
Finally, a sixth Manchester City fan named Anderson in his list of dream midfielders as well: “If Manchester City are buying a midfielder next summer, then the likes of Adam Wharton and Carlos Baleba are the most common suggestions. I’d add to that Hugo Sotelo and Elliot Anderson. Who would you add?”
Manchester City didn’t try to sign Alexander Isak but whether they make an effort to bring in his former teammate remains to be seen.
Alexander Isak’s record alongside Elliot Anderson for Newcastle United
The now-Liverpool striker witnessed the Englishman’s development first-hand during his time at Newcastle.
Isak and Anderson played 35 games in tandem for the Magpies.

| GAMES | 35 |
| WINS | 16 |
| DRAWS | 9 |
| LOSSES | 10 |
The pair won 16, drew nine and lost 10 out of the 35 matches.
With Manchester City fans hoping to sign Anderson, who has also accrued plenty of experience for Nottingham Forest while playing for England against Andorra, he could prove to be a very astute signing.
