Manchester City have already surpassed their treble-winning team in one area after 1-0 win vs Bournemouth

After Manchester City beat AFC Bournemouth, a statistic proved how they have surpassed their treble-winning side in one area this season.

It would take a herculean effort for Pep Guardiola’s men to repeat their feat from the previous campaign and win the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup this campaign.

Despite the number of legendary teams that have played in England, it is not a surprise that only two of them have won the treble, with Manchester United being the other side to do so, let alone repeating the feat in the following campaign.

Statistic shows Manchester City have surpassed their treble-winners in one area after Bournemouth win

Despite the Sky Blues being in contention to win all three trophies this season, it would be a fair assessment to make that they have plenty of gears to go to dominate proceedings like they did during the last campaign.

As brilliant as this City side is, when they amped things up and went into winning mode at the end of last season, they were virtually unplayable, which cannot be said for their performances so far this term.

After Manchester City defeated Bournemouth 1-0 on Saturday, they registered their 14th away win of the season in all competitions.

During the 2022/2023 season, they had only won 13 away games in total, as per Opta Joe on X.

The away form Manchester City have on their side will help them this season

If Manchester City continue to take three points away from home as they did against Bournemouth, it could massively aid them this season.

City have several key away games left to play this campaign, such as against Luton Town in the FA Cup, against Liverpool, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur, Nottingham Forest and Fulham.

If Guardiola and Co. manage to qualify for the next round of the Champions League, they will have an away leg waiting for them in the last 16 of the competition as well.

As a result, Manchester City’s away record this season is a positive sign when assessing their trips to tricky grounds until the end of the campaign.
