Manchester City have some tough Premier League games coming up and here are all the players currently injured with details of their injuries.
Surprisingly, Manchester City had a small rough patch in the Premier League this season, losing two games in a row in the division when Rodri was suspended.

Manchester City injury update
We have seen how much of an issue it was when such a key player was missing from the team, and now, the injuries are starting to pile up for manager Pep Guardiola.
There are a few key players either still injured or picking up an injury and the club will hope that the injury list does not increase rapidly.
Kevin De Bruyne

Sadly for Manchester City, Kevin De Bruyne has not been able to feature since the first game of the 2023/24 Season. The midfielder suffered a bad thigh injury in their first Premier League match against Burnley and he had to have surgery. This surgery was a big one and therefore De Bruyne is sidelined for many months. He is unlikely to return before 2024 at this current time and is expected to be out for a couple more months minimum.
Expected Return Date: 1st January 2024
John Stones

John Stones did feature for Manchester City this week in their Champions League game against Young Boys. Sadly, he picked up an injury and it has been a hard season for the English centre-back as he has picked up multiple injuries this season. His current one is a reoccurrence from his prior injury and sadly he could be sidelined for the foreseeable. He is a big loss for the club. All we know is that Guardiola mentioned that he will be “out for a long time“.
Expected Return Date: No current return date
Manuel Akanji

Another centre-back injured is Manuel Akanji. In the match on the weekend against Bournemouth, Akanji had an issue with his back and he was taken off. This saw him miss the game last night in the Champions League; however, he was on the bench. Despite there being worries about his injury, Akanji cannot be far off at all. He is currently being assessed ahead of the weekend’s match against Chelsea.
Expected Return Date: No current return date
Sergio Gomez

Left-back Sergio Gomez has struggled for minutes this season and he has now also picked up an injury. It is one that could possibly be long-term as he is currently on crutches. For now, it is expected that he will be able to return to training over the international break, but he is still being assessed so this could change in the near future.
Expected Return Date: No current return date
Manchester City’s next four games are Chelsea, Liverpool, RB Leipzig and Tottenham. It is a really tough set of fixtures so Guardiola will be hoping that the injured players in his squad can return sooner rather than later. With multiple defenders out, Guardiola now faces a selection dilemma ahead of the next few games. He will not be able to rotate as much as he likes to.
