So here we are. Months of toil and hardship over 37 games come down to this. One final weekend in which Manchester City have destiny in their own hands.

Manchester City and Arsenal have been neck-and-neck all season long and Sunday will determine who emerges from the campaign as champions.

City’s remarkable undefeated run stretched to 22 games on Wednesday as they finally overtook the Gunners with a 2-0 win over Tottenham.

Arsenal could only watch on in despair as Son Heung-min missed a glorious chance to hand them the title before the Blues secured their win.

Pep Guardiola and his first-team squad know that as long as they win on Sunday then they will be champions for a record fourth year in succession.

Here is how the two sides’ last fixture compares on the final day of the season.

Verdict: Can Manchester City win the Premier League?

Of course they can and they almost certainly will.

City are still yet to lose within 90 minutes since December and are on a remarkable winning streak in the Premier League. It doesn’t look like anyone can stop them.

The Blues have once again taken on the look of an invincible terminate that will inevitably catch those they are chasing. It’s not surprising in the slightest.

Mikel Arteta‘s Gunners remain in great form too having picked up another comfortable win at the weekend.

They end their season at home to 15th-placed Everton while City bring an end to their campaign at home to West Ham.

It could be yet another dramatic final day but the likely outcome is both teams winning comfortably and the title staying in Manchester.
