Manchester City have reportedly decided that Bernardo Silva is non-transferable and will not consider any offers that may come their way for him this summer.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Manchester club this summer having attracted interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Al-Hilal.

Last week, it was reported that the Citizens would demand a fee of £70m from any club that may look to secure a deal for him.

Now though, some fresh information has emerged regarding the club’s stance on their midfield star.

In a recent Twitter post, journalist Manu Sainz claimed that City have declared that Silva is now non-transferable and do not want to hear any offers for the midfielder throughout the remainder of the summer transfer window.

Since arriving at the Etihad Stadium back in 2017 from Monaco in a deal worth a reported fee of £43m, the Portuguese international has made 306 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Across those appearances, Silva has scored 55 goals and provided 59 assists in all competitions, winning five Premier League titles and numerous other trophies along the way.

Having played such a big role in City’s treble-winning campaign last season, featuring in all but six of their matches across all competitions, this shows why they are not open to letting him go this summer.

In fact, it was reported last month that the Citizens had offered Silva an improved contract to try and keep him at the club, which further highlights how much they value him and want to keep him in the squad.

Moving forward, if City keep this stance and end up seeing the midfielder stay where he is for next season, this will be a big positive for everyone connected to the club.
