The 2023/24 season has now come to an end and Manchester City finished with an unprecedented fourth Premier League title in succession as well as the UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup.
Now the players will enjoy a break from club football as they either head off to international tournaments or enjoy a summer off.
But attention will soon turn towards next season and City will once again be jetting off this summer in preparation for the 2024/25 campaign.
In 2023, Pep Guardiola and his first-team squad headed for Asia as they visited South Korea and Japan for matches against Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and Yokohama F. Marinos.

Where is Man City’s pre-season tour in 2024 taking place?
Instead of flying East, City will be heading out West as they return to the United States of America for a lengthy pre-season tour in 2024.
City will play four matches when Stateside and travel the length of the East Coast, with each game taking place in a different city.
The club are returning to the USA for the first time since 2022 when they played two games – against Club America and Bayern Munich – in Houston, Texas, and Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Hopefully, there won’t be as much disruption this time as a fierce thunderstorm meant the match with Bayern was reduced from 90 minutes due to a lengthy delay.
When will Manchester City’s pre-season tour in 2024 begin?
City’s pre-season tour gets underway on Tuesday, July 23 when they take on Scottish giants Celtic in North Carolina.
Given the finals of Euro 2024 and Copa America will have taken place just nine days earlier, it’s safe to assume no friendlies will be added beforehand and that several City first-teamers will miss the game.

Guardiola’s squad for the pre-season tour is full of youngsters hoping to impress, a handful of senior stars and trialist Amar Fatah.
New signing Savinho has not made the trip.

How to watch Man City’s pre-season friendlies
Though it may be ‘subject to certain restrictions’, City aim to broadcast the friendlies through the City+ streaming service alongside press conferences, training sessions and their Matchday Live show.
An annual pass can be purchased for £29 if you’re a Cityzens Member or it costs £34.99 if you are not. Alternatively, a monthly pass can be bought for £4.99 which should cover the whole of the tour.
