Manchester City are back in action on Saturday, as they look to bounce back from Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup defeat at Tottenham.
Pep Guardiola’s injury-hit side are on the road again and this time face a trip to the south coast to face an in-form Bournemouth side in a 3pm kick-off.
City saw two more names added to the injury list on Wednesday when Manuel Akanji limped out of the warm-up and Savinho was taken off on a stretcher.
Guardiola did not give much away when it came to his pre-match press conference, saying he had ‘many doubts’ and telling the assembled media ‘tomorrow you will know it’ when it came to team news, although he would later confirm Savinho did not suffer a serious injury.

How Manchester City could line-up vs Bournemouth
We know there will be changes to the team that Guardiola sent out at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday, not least because of the latest injuries to strike the squad.
After Guardiola’s coy injury update, we know that Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish, Jeremy Doku and Kyle Walker are out, as are long-term absentees Rodri and Oscar Bobb. There are then question marks over Josko Gvardiol, who was spotted needing treatment after the game on Wednesday, plus Savinho and Akanji.
Ederson is therefore set to continue in goal (despite fans joking on social media that he may be needed in midfield), with a back line of Rico Lewis, John Stones, Ruben Dias and Nathan Ake, assuming Akanji and Gvardiol are not available.

Guardiola is still able to put out a strong midfield, with Mateo Kovacic and Ilkay Gundogan behind Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden and Matheus Nunes, while Erling Haaland, who was not risked against Spurs and remained on the bench, will lead the line.
What Guardiola won’t be able to do is name a strong bench, so expect plenty of goalkeepers and young players to feature there.
