Jack Grealish has launched a cheeky dig in Ben Chilwell’s direction on Instagram.
Footballers have taken over London Fashion Week and many were in attendance for Burberry’s show on Monday night.
Chelsea defender Chilwell joined Everton’s Dele Alli, Arsenal stars Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard and Tottenham Hotspur heroes Son Heung-min and Gareth Bale.
One big star who wasn’t there, though, was Manchester City’s Grealish but he still made a splash by poking fun at England teammate Chilwell.
The footballers were giving the models some stiff competition with their smart outfits but Chilwell went bold and risky.
The left-back was spotted donning a daring blue, white and black check sweater vest top which left all of his arms exposed when he wasn’t pairing it with a cream jacket.
Alli posted a photo with his fellow Burberry ambassador on Instagram where Grealish was quick to make a joke at Chilwell’s expense.
In the comments of Alli’s post, Grealish wrote: “Tell Chilly to keep his jacket on next time,” accompanied by a mind-blown emoji.
All fun and games
It’s nice to see footballers having a normal laugh and joke with each other, especially international teammates.
For years England squads were dominated by cliques as players of Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal would often separate themselves owing to their heated club rivalries.
Gareth Southgate has moved to foster a much friendlier atmosphere during his years in charge of the Three Lions and that is often reflected away from international duty.
Grealish and Chilwell may play for Premier League rivals but they are fast friends having risen through the England youth setup together.
