Barcelona officials are reportedly keen to try and sign Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo again.
Cancelo is one of several players tipped to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer.
Ilkay Gundogan has set the ball rolling, and Kyle Walker, Bernardo Silva, Aymeric Laporte, Kalvin Phillips, Riyad Mahrez and Cole Palmer and Cancelo could all follow out the door.
It’s been reported City are keen to get Cancelo offloaded.
He left the club in January on loan to join Bayern Munich, after reports surfaced that he had turned disruptive in the dressing room.
Cancelo had lost his status as a regular starter. And supposedly, he wasn’t too happy with his game time.
At least one club are interested, but their interest could be batted away by City.
Barcelona could attempt another loan swoop for Joao Cancelo
AS in Spain have reported today that offcials at Barcelona are again considering making a loan approach for Cancelo.
It is suggested by the publication that it would be a one-year loan, without a purchase option.

Previously, it’s been claimed that Barcelona want to sign Wanderson in the summer of 2024, and merely want Cancelo as a stop gap.
Barca manager Xavi claimed recently that his side were poised to land Cancelo on loan from City in January.
But Pep Guardiola rejected these claims, stating (via SPORT): “He has been misinformed.
“He is far from reality. We decided that Joao had to leave and we didn’t care where, as if he wanted to go to Manchester United, who are the city rivals.
“I’m not saying Xavi was lied to, but I’m saying he was misinformed.
“Joao went to Bayern because Bayern wanted him. We didn’t get an offer from Barca.”
There is surely no chance Man City will sanction another loan move for Joao Cancelo
Everybody knows that Barcelona have financial problems, so them looking at free agents and loans is no real surprise.
But they are delusional if they think City could let them take Cancelo – once described by Bernardo Silva as ‘an amazing player’ – on loan for a season without an obligation to buy.
£250,000-a-week ace Cancelo would come back to City with just one year left on his deal, meaning his market value would likely be considerably less than it is now.
It is in City’s interests to sell this summer.

City showed after he left that they no longer need him, with the current system that purely uses centre-backs one of the strongest we have ever seen.
Surely, City would rather just take a lower fee this summer, than sanction another loan move.
