Man City have reportedly been monitoring Atalanta youngster Giorgio Scalvini.
90min have reported today that the Citizens are one of a number of Premier League clubs showing an interest in the Italian starlet.

Scalvini, still only 19, has been making waves over in Italy, having made his debut for the club back in October 2021 as a 17-year-old.
Scalvini has been a regular this season for Gian Piero Gasperini, making 27 appearances across all competitions.
The talented centre-half has really drawn attention to himself with his fantastic all-round game despite his tender years.
He is the product of a youth academy which has really grown its reputation in recent years.
According to a feature from Goal, Scalvini is ‘comfortable in possession, and has made a handful of appearances playing at the base of the midfield during his time coming through the ranks’.
The idea of him being good on the ball and being a defender capable of playing in midfield makes it easy to understand why Pep Guardiola would be interested.

Of course recently, the Spaniard has been using John Stones in a hybrid role.
Potentially, City could be losing Aymeric Laporte this summer.
There has been speculation he is looking to leave following a struggle for minutes. Barcelona are thought to be interested.
Giorgio Scalvini is a very bright future and Man City fans should keep an eye out
So City are taking a look at Scalvini, and he definitely looks like he’s going to become a top player.
Gasperini has developed some really good players during his time at Atalanta and Scalvini looks like the latest top young talent emerging there.
According to The Scouting App, he is ‘a clear example of a modern defender, combining defensive toughness and dominance with high technique and elegance, being a complete centre-back mixing ball playing ability and solidity. He is a great support in the build up phase of his team, being confident in his above average technical ability’.
And Breaking The Lines report he idolises Thiago Silva.

Ball-playing ability and solidity suggest him as being someone Pep Guardiola would like.
Certainly if Laporte is moving on this summer, Scalvini might just be someone to consider as his replacement.
He may still be quite young. But he has clocked up 48 appearances for the club which is pretty decent for a 19-year-old.
That might just be enough to tempt Guardiola into making a swoop.
