It has been reported that if Manchester City offer better payment terms than Arsenal to sign Declan Rice, they could easily complete a transfer.
This comes from journalist Jacob Steinberg, after David Ornstein claimed that Mikel Arteta’s side had launched a £105 million bid (£100 million plus £5 million in add-ons) for his signature.
Despite the bid being a record for a British player, Manchester City could still beat Arsenal to the signing of Declan Rice with superior payment terms.
Manchester City could beat Arsenal to Declan Rice transfer with better payment terms
Interestingly, it was reported on Tuesday that West Ham United internally believe that they could bank a whopping £107 million fee from the treble-winners for their talismanic captain.
It seems like the Europa Conference League winners are still dissatisfied with the bids made by both clubs for their prized asset.
So much so that it has been reported that after turning down the £90 million (£80 million plus £10 million in add-ons) bid from Manchester City, West Ham have also rejected Arsenal, who have put £105 million on the table.

It has been claimed that the Hammers are unhappy about the payment structure offered by the Gunners and not the actual offer as such.
Furthermore, Jacob Steinberg reports that Rice ‘isn’t going to turn down Guardiola’ if City offer better payment terms, with the East Londoners targeting a £110 million fee and the guaranteed part of the amount to be paid as quickly as possible.
Working with Pep Guardiola will likely tempt the Englishman
It comes as no surprise that despite the suggestions that Declan Rice would prefer to join Arsenal over Manchester City, he would be happy to choose the latter, especially due to the Pep Guardiola factor.
The Catalan boss is not only one of the greatest managers of all time, having come off the back of a treble-winning season but most importantly has a proven track record of elevating players to the next level.
For any player not to be rubbing his hands at the prospect of being coached by Guardiola would be ludicrous and Rice is no different.
