Leicester City will reportedly seek £50 million to sell James Maddison this summer, with Manchester City having been linked with the midfielder earlier this year.
The Telegraph have reported today that Maddison’s departure from the King Power is looking increasingly likely.

The Foxes are currently in the relegation zone, having taken just 25 points from 29 games.
In recent weeks, the team have really struggled and of course, Brendan Rodgers has just been relieved of his duties as manager.
Despite Leicester’s struggles this season, Maddison has still been in good form when he has been fit.
In 21 Premier League appearances, he has scored nine goals and made six assists.
Many Leicester fans feel as though they could be watching the final few months of Maddison in a blue shirt. The star will only have one year left on his contract this summer.
So Leicester could cash in.
And they are seemingly open to that, and have slapped a £50 million asking price on the 26-year-old.

The Telegraph say there is an acceptance that he could leave after five years at the club.
City were linked with a move for Maddison earlier this year.
The Daily Mail reported the club were considering a move for him this summer. The publication said in their report that Maddison’s valuation was around £60 million.
City could potentially lose Ilkay Gundogan and/or Bernardo Silva in the next window. Should that happen, there would be room for the England international.
James Maddison would be an excellent signing for Manchester City, although £50 million is steep
Maddison would make a brilliant signing for City.
At least one of Gundogan or Silva will probably depart this summer. So, Pep Guardiola may need to add another technically gifted midfielder to his squad.
Maddison is a proven performer in the Premier League. He’s scored 42 goals and made 31 assists in 154 appearances in the competition.

Not only would be he good as a replacement for Gundogan or Silva, he could also be a long-term replacement for Kevin De Bruyne.
The Belgian still has a good couple of years in him, but he will eventually need replacing. This is something that should be done before he actually leaves.
Guardiola has already praised Maddison, calling him ‘an incredible player’ back in 2019.
