If Manchester United end up signing Benjamin Sesko, it is natural that he will be compared to Erling Haaland.
The Manchester City number nine is the gold standard for strikers in the Premier League and as a result, fans and pundits alike tend to discuss whether another frontman matches up to Pep Guardiola’s feared marksman.
Sesko admires Haaland himself and considering journalists Florian Plettenberg and Philipp Hinze believe all parties involved reckon he is destined to join Manchester United, Ruben Amorim will be hoping the 22-year-old reaches the Norwegian’s level.
Guardiola believes Haaland is the world’s best striker and with that being the case, it is unlikely that he would be envious of United’s pursuit of the RB Leipzig sensation.

Mirsad Mujakic, who coached Sesko at Under 15s level spoke to the Daily Mail about how gifted he is.
Mujakic believes Sesko has the potential to become a better striker than Erling Haaland, a claim that will be likely be met with scepticism by Manchester City fans: “His potential is unlimited.”
“I believe he can be even better than Haaland because he is such a hard worker. He will do everything and more to succeed.”
“That’s why I think he will quickly show in England why he is among the best strikers in the world.”

Strikers are judged on the number of goals they score and if Sesko signs for Manchester United, he will be evaluated on how prolific he is against Premier League defences.
Considering the Leeds-born forward has played for a top-class Manchester City side for three seasons, it comes as no surprise that he has outscored the Leipzig star.
As a result, a better metric to compare the two is by assessing their respective stats in the Bundesliga.
