Manchester City have seen numerous players leave the club during this summer transfer window.
In addition to seeing first-team players such as Julian Alvarez and Sergio Gomez leave the club, City have also moved out some of their younger players such as Callum Doyle and Luke Mbete on temporary loan deals.
Another academy star the Blues loaned out is Mahamadou Susoho, who joined Peterborough United on a season-long loan earlier this month.
However, after the 19-year-old sustained a serious muscle injury that will keep him out of action for four months, he returned to the Etihad Stadium.
Even though Posh manager Darren Ferguson claimed that they will try and sign the midfielder again in January when he’s fully recovered, he has now made a claim about landing a deal for another young talent on the books at City.

Darren Ferguson admits he’d love to sign Jadel Katongo from Man City again
Speaking on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, Darren Ferguson had this to say about the possibility of seeing Peterborough re-sign Jadel Katongo before the end of the month.
He said: “It is something that I would love to be able to do again because he can play in so many positions but I think it’s going to be very doubtful for us to get him back, certainly with the situation at Man City. It’s a long shot.”
Katongo shone in previous loan spell at Peterborough
The 19-year-old spent last season on loan at The Weston Homes Stadium where he made 43 appearances in total across all competitions, predominantly playing at right-back.
Across the 30 League One games he appeared in last season, Katongo showed how useful he can be in an attacking and defensive sense.
Specifically, in addition to making 27 crosses, he also made 25 interceptions and won 20 tackles.
Back in March, Ferguson said that he feels Katongo is ready to play a regular senior role for City.
Taking all of that into account, it’s understandable why Ferguson is eager to see the teenager, who he called “brilliant” (via The Mirror) back in March, make a return to Peterborough.
