Gareth Ainsworth believes Jack Grealish would be a guaranteed starter for every team in the Premier League apart from Manchester City.

This season, however, the 28-year-old has found it hard to cement his place in City’s starting XI.

After all, Grealish has started a mere seven games in the Premier League this season.

Gareth Ainsworth thinks Jack Grealish would start for every Premier League club

Last season, however, the Englishman started in 23 games in the league and most notably, he was played from the get-go in all but one Champions League clash.

Recently, even Pep Guardiola publicly admitted that the treble-winner must return to the high standards he set during the 2022/2023 season as well as during his spell at Aston Villa.

Former Wycombe Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth believes that apart from Manchester City, Jack Grealish would start for every team in the Premier League without question.

“But someone like Jack Grealish on the bench, there’s not another club in the Premier League who you go, ‘Wow, he can’t get a game for that team’, a player of that calibre”, he told Sky Sports.

Jack Grealish could start in multiple positions for other Premier League teams

In our view, Gareth Ainsworth is spot on about Jack Grealish, who remains a magnificent player, regardless of his limited game time this season.

One reason why the two-time Premier League winner struggles for playing time at the Etihad Stadium is because Pep Guardiola seemingly only views him as a left-winger.

But at other clubs, Jack Grealish would perhaps also get more opportunities to play in midfield.

In today’s day and age, there are not many number 10s in football in any case.

However, Jack Grealish’s creativity and ball-carrying from central areas would make him tailor-made to become the fulcrum of another side’s attack.

Unfortunately for Grealish, Guardiola seems to prefer the likes of De Bruyne and Foden as his creative midfielders while Doku seems to have become the side’s first-choice left-winger.
