Las Palmas manager Garcia Pimienta has reportedly been in touch with Manchester City director, Txiki Begiristain, over a potential transfer move for Maximo Perrone.
The 20-year-old only arrived at the Etihad Stadium back in January after signing a five-year deal from Velez Sarsfield.
Despite that, the youngster has found himself on the radar of one particular manager, who has made an effort to try and land a deal for him.
Las Palmas manager asks Begiristain for Perrone

According to a recent report from La Provincia, Pimienta wants to add Perrone to his squad this summer to bolster his midfield.
The report also adds that the Las Palmas manager has already expressed this interest to Begiristain and assured the City figure that he can offer Perrone regular senior minutes to help develop his game.

Since arriving at the Manchester club, the midfielder made just two appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Back in February, the midfielder played 18 minutes of City’s 4-1 win over Bournemouth before having a two-minute cameo in their 3-0 win over Bristol City in the FA Cup.

With that in mind, it could be the best option for Perrone to make a temporary move to Las Palmas if Pimienta stick to his word and give the player regular game time.
However, with Kevin De Bruyne now facing four months out of action due to a hamstring injury, this could force Guardiola into keeping hold of as many midfield options as he can to fill in for the injured Belgian.
Moving forward, it’ll be interesting to see what decision is made regarding Perrone’s immediate future and what the new season will hold for the youngster.
