Norway boss Stale Solbakken has said that he has noticed that Manchester City genuinely back Oscar Bobb to become a top player one day.

As quoted by Football Norge, the 55-year-old made this observation ahead of his side’s upcoming clash against Faroe Islands, in which the Manchester City starlet could feature.

With Oscar Bobb making four appearances in the Premier League, two in the Champions League and one start in the Carabao Cup this season, his natural talent seems to have caught the eye of City’s coaching staff.

Norway manager Stale Solbakken says Manchester City fully trust Oscar Bobb due to their reaction after Cole Palmer’s sale

After the 20-year-old assisted Nathan Ake’s goal against Bournemouth, the latter emphasised that he is “such a good player” and complimented him as a character as well.

Even Pep Guardiola emphasised that so far, he has been “really pleased” with the Norwegian’s development and feels he has all the talent in the world to have a stellar career at the club.

Stale Solbakken believes that Oscar Bobb has his supporters at Manchester City, especially seeing how they reacted after selling Cole Palmer to Chelsea this summer.

“Manchester City are very pleased with his development, in line with what [Pep] Guardiola says in press conferences. When [Cole] Palmer is sold to Chelsea, and he [Bobb] is not sent out on loan, it’s a positive sign.”, he said, as shared by Football Norge.

Oscar Bobb has all the tools to make the grade at the Etihad Stadium

Stale Solbakken makes a fair point and assessing Oscar Bobb and his qualities, one can see him becoming a regular starter for Manchester City in the future.

Firstly, the youngster is as technically secure as they come, which seems to be a prerequisite for any player who hopes to impress Pep Guardiola.

In addition, Bobb’s game is already extremely mature, with his decision-making, ability to approach the game at different paces and off-the-ball work standing out.

Oscar Bobb also has the versatility to play in midfield and as a right winger, as he ticks all the boxes an attacking player needs to become a Pep Guardiola favourite.
