It has been reported that Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland has not been spotted in training ahead of their clash against Liverpool.
The Norwegian striker felt a minor strain against Burnley and eventually pulled out of Norway training.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland not in pre-Liverpool training
Now, Sky Sports News have went on to report that Erling Haaland was not pictured in Manchester City training, as they prepare to face Liverpool.

In fact, Peter Stevenson, who was at the club’s training ground reported the live scenes, saying. “At the moment, he is not [training]. I’ve seen every player, I’ve seen the coaching staff and Pep Guardiola emerge right at the end.”
“He’s still having a problem with the groin injury he picked up against Burnley. We’ve been told by his father about hospital treatment he’s had in Barcelona and his recuperation started in Marbella and then back in Manchester.”
“But that’s not to say he won’t feature on Saturday against Liverpool. That recovery process might be continuing indoors, we don’t know, we haven’t been told and there is still another full training session to be had on Friday.”
Considering contests between Manchester City and Liverpool tend to be highly-contested fixtures, the fact that Erling Haaland is not even in training could be a big blow to their chances of winning on Saturday.
All eyes on Julian Alvarez
Julian Alvarez, who recently earned Sergio Aguero’s praise has been a threat every time he has been given a chance to start for the Sky Blues.
With Haaland not in training for the Premier League champions ahead of their contest against Liverpool, the pressure is on him to step up to the plate in a game that could determine the side’s title hopes.
The World Cup winner has shown at the biggest stage that he has the minerals to deliver but whether he can do so against Jurgen Klopp’s men is a question waiting to be answered.
