Manchester City fans have been reacting on social media, after Jack Grealish lavished praise on England teammate Phil Foden.
The Aston Villa captain was speaking to the press today, with Euro 2020 officially getting underway on Friday night.
England come into the tournament having recorded 1-0 friendly wins over Austria and Romania.
Foden didn’t feature in either game. He was one of a handful of players Gareth Southgate didn’t use due to the Champions League final.
It’s the hope of many a Three Lions fan that Foden plays a prominent role for his country over the next few weeks.
Neutrals have regularly been blown away by Foden’s quality over the past few months, and his talent is not lost on Grealish.
He said: “He’s an unbelievably talented player. He’s a player that just loves football.
“Trying to get him off the training pitch after for the coach is hard work!”
Grealish, of course, has been widely reported to be a target of City’s this summer (ESPN).
Foden is not the first City star Grealish has complimented. He’s also often praised Kevin De Bruyne.
Fans have been reacting to Grealish’s comments, and some are absolutely convinced these latest comments are a sign the 25-year-old wants to seal a transfer to the Etihad Stadium this summer.
