Manchester City have reportedly made an offer to sign Barcelona defender Alejandro Balde.
The Manchester club could be waving goodbye to one of their current full-backs in this window as it was reported last week that Kyle Walker has verbally agreed to join Bayern Munich.
Now, it has been claimed that the Citizens have already made an effort to bring in a new full-back from one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
City make Balde offer

According to a recent report from Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, City made a significant financial offer to to try and sign Balde, but the left-back didnt consider it as he only wants to stay at Barcelona and is now looking likely to sign a new long-term deal with them.
Having worked his way through the youth system at Barcelona, the 19-year-old now has 51 senior appearances for the Spanish club to his name, scoring one goal and delivering seven assists in the process.
With 33 La Liga appearances to his name last season, the Spaniard ended up having the third-highest number of carries into the penalty area (35) in Xavi’s squad, as well as the second-highest number of tackles won (30), which highlights how effective he can be in and out of possession.

Another interesting part of the teenager’s game is his pace, with his top speed reaching 20.95 mp/h.
To compare that with Walker, the Barcelona youngster only falls slightly behind the Englishman’s top speed of 21.13 mp/h.
While it’s easy to see why the European champions may have had an interest in Balde, it seems likely that they won’t be landing a transfer deal for him this summer, as Fabrizio Romano has also said that the full-back will be signing a new deal at the Nou Camp in the coming days.
