Manchester City have now bid £128m to sign player Pep Guardiola said is ‘really good’

Manchester City are desperate to dominate English football once again next season.

After winning the last four Premier League titles in a row, the Citizens have stagnated under Pep Guardiola this season, winning just 18 out of 34 league games, poor form which saw Manchester City drop as low as seventh at one stage.

A recent resurgence has Manchester City sitting third – but that is still not good enough for a side as ambitious as this.

As a result, Manchester City are prepared to pick up from where they left off in January by spending heavily in the market.

Hugo Viana has already met with Bayer Leverkusen to discuss a £100m deal for Florian Wirtz – and Defensa Central in Spain are now claiming that a £128m bid has been made for Jude Bellingham.

Manchester City bid for Jude Bellingham

The Spanish news outlet believe Manchester City have now offered Real Madrid €150m (£128m) for the England international.

Defensa Central state that Guardiola is ‘in love’ with Bellingham and has asked Manchester City to do all they can to lure the Real Madrid No.5 to the Etihad Stadium this summer.

The Spaniard has previously heaped praise on the Birmingham City academy graduate, saying: “The quality, everybody knows it. The whole package is really good.”

Bellingham has scored 13 goals and provided 13 assists in 46 appearances across all competitions so far this season, including a late winner against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola also wants Eduardo Camavinga

Defensa Central claim that Manchester City have actually made a €200m (£171m) double bid, with €50m (£43m) put on the table for Eduardo Camavinga as well as Bellingham – who admires Kyle Walker.

Guardiola is said to adore the France international, and wants both Real Madrid players to freshen up his creaking midfield, which includes a 33-year-old Kevin De Bruyne and a 34-year-old Ilkay Gundogan, while Mateo Kovacic and Bernardo Silva are both 30.

However, the Spanish news outlet have bad news for Manchester City fans, writing that Camavinga and Bellingham love playing for Real Madrid, and Florentino Perez – President at the Santiago Bernabeu – has no intention of selling either this summer.
