Manchester City have told three clubs to forget about signing 20-year-old on loan this month

Manchester City have told Watford and two other Championship outfits to forget about signing Micah Hamilton.

That is according to Fabrizio Romano.

So, what is the latest on Micah Hamilton at Manchester City? Let’s take a look…

Manchester City reject Micah Hamilton approaches

Well, the 20-year-old put his name up in lights earlier this season after scoring on his debut in the UEFA Champions League.

Hamilton rifled a strike into the roof of the net to open the scoring in Manchester City’s 3-2 win over Red Star Belgrade in Serbia.

Now – according to Romano – Manchester City have rejected an approach from Watford to sign the City Football Academy graduate on loan, while also telling two other Championship sides to go away.

The reliable Italian journalist wrote on X (previously known as Twitter): “Watford have approached Man City in the recent days to sign Micah Hamilton on loan.

“Two more Championship clubs also asked for loan this month but City have no plans to let Hamilton leave. Understand Man City want Micah to stay with first team.”

The Manchester City No.92 has only made one other appearance under Pep Guardiola so far this season in addition to his UEFA Champions League experience, playing 14 minutes of the 5-0 FA Cup win over Huddersfield.

Manchester City should let Micah Hamilton leave on loan

In our view, a loan move would be beneficial for Hamilton.

The exciting winger – as aforesaid – has hardly played any senior football since making his goalscoring debut in the UEFA Champions League, so Guardiola does not need him at the Etihad Stadium that badly.

Furthermore, Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne are now back to bolster the attack even more, so it is difficult to see where Hamilton’s chances of playing time will come.

Hopefully, Guardiola has a plan up his sleeve.
