Manchester City are now fighting with Manchester United to sign Leny Yoro from Lille.
That is according to le10sport in France.
So, what is the situation involving Manchester City and Leny Yoro? Let’s take a look…
Manchester City want Leny Yoro
Well, Txiki Begiristain has now set his sights on one of France’s most precocious talents.
The French news outlet believe Manchester City have already started talks with Lille over a deal to sign Yoro, in addition to the 18-year-old’s representatives as the Citizens target a January agreement.
However, Manchester United are also said to have begun negotiations with Lille as well.
Yoro – who is valued at €30m (£26m) by the CIES Football Observatory – is already a regular under Paulo Fonseca at Lille, making 18 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring three goals.

The teenager is a key cog in central defence for the Ligue 1 outfit – even drawing comparisons to the likes of Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konate.
Le10sport add that Lille are determined to keep Yoro, and are planning to hold discussions about a new contract as his current terms expire in June 2025.
Manchester City must get Josko Gvardiol comfortable before signing Leny Yoro
In our view, Pep Guardiola needs to find a way to squeeze Josko Gvardiol into the starting XI in his natural position of centre-back before thinking about signing another central defender.
The Croatia international arrived from RB Leipzig in a pricey £77.6m deal back in August, and while he has performed to a respectable level – some believe otherwise – there is plenty of room for improvement.

In our eyes, it would make more sense to target a natural left-back first, which would allow Gvardiol to play centrally.
Nevertheless, be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Manchester City open talks to sign Yoro.
